Nebraska ethanol plant has new owner
A central Nebraska ethanol plant has a new owner.
The 50-million gallon Cornhusker Energy ethanol plant in Lexington has been purchased by Grand Island-based Chief Industries. This purchase expands Chief’s presence in the ethanol industry. Its plant in Hastings, Nebraska was the state’s first dry-mill ethanol plant and produces 70 million gallons of ethanol annually.
The Lexington plant is now operating as Chief Ethanol Fuels, Inc.
