Equal parts environment, management and innovation has developed some of the highest producing milk cows in the nation.  A veterinarian says dairy cattle are just on the cusp of their milk producing potential.

Dr. Mark Fox with Thumb Area Veterinary Services has served the largest dairy area of Michigan for more than 30 years. He tells Brownfield a temperate climate, good forages, and access to water are all helping Michigan dairy cows lead in production.
