Jill Sackett Eberhart is an extension educator with the University of Minnesota and co-coordinator of the state sustainable agriculture research and education program through USDA.

She has been working with farmers from various parts of the region—some of whom use cover crops-and says management depends on whether the cover is a winter-kill or winter hardy species.
