South Dakota producers were kept out of the fields last week by significant moisture.

According to the state USDA office, the week started off with rain and sleet and ended with a snowstorm, with notable accumulation in the south and east of South Dakota.

The week’s primary activities were reportedly tending to livestock and winter machinery repair.

69% of winter wheat is in good to excellent condition.

49% of pastures and rangelands are rated good to excellent and 71% of the state has adequate to surplus stock water.
