Sam Shaver – Outdoor Recreation

Sam Alan Shaver of the Southmont FFA Chapter in Crawfordsville, Ind., helps his family run the largest off-road ATV race East of the Mississippi, The Ironman.

Seeing the success of the race, Shaver helped launch an extreme 5K on the family property that has more than 8,000 participants each year. The family also owns a recreational vehicle dealership, selling boats, snowmobiles, trailers and ATVs.

He is supported by his parents, Lori and Ken, and his FFA advisors, Gary Mosbaugh and Erin Gilley.
