The land rental ‘balancing act’

The gap between what landlords think they need for rent and what their farmer tenants think they are able to pay is wider than it’s been for several years.

University of Nebraska Extension educator Allan Vyhnalek and several of his colleagues held Landlord/Tenant Lease Workshops this month across Nebraska. The workshops were designed to help landlords and tenants develop a lease that works for both parties while still maintaining positive farm leasing relations.

Vyhnalek says it’s a “big balancing act” this year.
