Protecting horses from mosquito-borne illnesses

I saw a church sign the other day that said “sure wish Noah would have swatted those two mosquitos. It is mosquito season and in many parts of the country mosquito numbers are significant. Dr. Julie McGwin with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture says horse owners especially should be paying close attention, because two mosquito-borne illnesses, Eastern Equine Encephalitis and the West Nile Virus can be fatal to horses.
