Senate scheduled to vote Tuesday on TPA
The Senate is scheduled to vote Tuesday on stand-alone Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) legislation.
The bill will need 60 votes to pass. For that to happen, according to RollCall.com, a dozen or so pro-trade Democrats will need assurance that a vote for TPA will be followed by approval of Trade Adjustment Assistance for workers displaced by trade.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says that is the plan.
