NPPC pushing hard for TPA passage

According to Dr. Howard Hill, past president of NPPC, Trade Promotion Authority is needed in order to conclude Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations among the U.S. and 11 Pacific Rim countries.  Hill says TPP would be the biggest commercial opportunity ever for the U.S. pork industry and would boost the U.S. economy.

Failure to pass TPA, Hill says, would send a signal to the world that the U.S. is turning its back on the Asia-Pacific region – the fastest growing area in the world – and allowing other countries to write the rules for international trade.
