Idaho jumps to 3rd in dairy
Move over New York, Idaho is now the third largest milk producer behind California and Wisconsin. Continued expansion with dairy processors like Chobani is helping to grow more dairy opportunities in the Spud State. Total dairy revenue in Idaho last year was up 12.5 percent from the previous year with new investments in processing. Idaho produced nearly 14 Billion pounds of milk in 2014, a million more pounds than New York.
