Day 2 of the Wheat Quality Council’s hard red winter wheat tour through western, central and southern Kansas produced an average yield guess of 34.5 bushels per acre.

That’s better than last year’s Day 2 average of 32.8, but below the five-year average of 36.98 bpa.

The Oklahoma Feed and Grain Association estimated that state’s wheat crop will average 29.4 bushels per acre.
