Wood County to host 2018 Wisconsin Farm Technology Days

Wood County

Wood County will host Wisconsin Farm Technology Days in 2018.  The county was awarded the bid at the WFTD annual meeting Wednesday.  Wood County U.W. Extension Agent Matt Lippert along with representatives of the Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids Chambers of Commerce and Visitors and Conventions Bureaus made the presentation.

An executive committee will now be formed and the search for a host farm or farms will begin. Lippert says they hope to have a host selected by fall.

Wood County has not hosted the show since 1960 when it was at the Marshfield Ag Research Station.

Dane County is hosting this year’s show in August at Statz Brothers Farm of Sun Prairie.  Next year it will be in Walworth County and 2017 will be in Kewaunee County.
