Iowa biodiesel plant changes hands

soybeans-nebraska-2 7-12The Clinton County Bio Energy biodiesel plant in Clinton, Iowa has been sold to Tenaska, an independent energy company based in Omaha.

The Clinton County plant, which is located on the Mississippi River, was owned by a group of local investors.  It has the capacity to produce ten million gallons of biodiesel per year.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
