Crop insurance and the new farm bill
There’s been a lot of discussion about crop insurance changes under the 2014 Farm Bill. We asked Carmen Draper, a Farm Credit Services of America insurance specialist (based in western Nebraska), to talk about some of the key changes, steps and decisions that producers need to consider for 2015.

I didn’t know that you could have insurance on your crops. However, it does make sense because you never know what will happen to the crops. If your crops fail then at least you will have some insurance money to live off of until you can plant new crops.
