The EPA and soil health

Meetings this week involving the EPA’s Farm, Ranch and Rural Communities Federal Advisory Committee center on soil health. According to Politico – there are questions among committee members about whether the EPA needs to be involved in that.  Private industry groups and ag department officials have presented information about soil health to the committee which is charged with providing “thoughtful advice and useful insights” to the EPA as it crafts environmental policies and programs affecting agriculture and rural communities.
