Gibbs to chair Water Resources subcommittee

Congressman Bob Gibbs (2)_web

Ohio Congressman Bob Gibbs has been named Chairman of the Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee in the 114th Congress.

“I am looking forward to my third term as Chairman of the Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee. Last Congress, my subcommittee worked with the House and Senate to craft the Water Resources Reform and Development Act (WRRDA).  WRRDA improves our nation’s water infrastructure and promotes economic growth, and was one of the few bipartisan bills the President signed into law last year,” said Gibbs.

Gibbs says the subcommittee will focus on implementing the Water Resources Reform and Development Act (WRRDA) and continue to investigate the EPA’s proposed ‘Waters of the United States’ rule.
