NCGA president on WOTUS, EPA, biotech and China
National Corn Growers Association president Chip Bowling, who farms in the Chesapeake Bay watershed of southern Maryland, was in Nebraska last week for the annual meeting of the Nebraska Corn Growers Association.
In this interview with Brownfield, Bowling talks about the proposed Waters of the U.S. rule, the Chesapeake Bay mandate that he operates under, and how he hosted a group of EPA officials on his farm in October. Bowling also shares his thoughts on the flap over Syngenta’s MIR 162 corn trait and China’s biotech approval process.
