E15 pumps to open in Rochelle, Illinois

E-15 fueling pumps are coming to Rochelle, Illinois. A ribbon cutting will be held Wednesday at the Petro Travel Plaza on 900 Petro Road. Ten new fueling stations with E15 will be lined up at every station that offers E10.

According to the Illinois Corn Growers Association, the station will offer an introductory price of 15 cents below the cost of E10 for the new E15 product. And, in the long term, the station says it expects to offer the higher blend at a continually lower price than E10 because ethanol is a less expensive fuel. The station plans to pass the savings on to its customers.
