Governor Mike Pence, Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann, and Indiana State Department of Agriculture director Gina Sheets toured a cross-section of Indiana agriculture Thursday.

Governor Pence said the tour was a great way to celebrate the diversity in Indiana’s agricultural economy.  “I’ve said for many years Indiana is agriculture,” he says.  “We do a lot of things in this state – but at the core of our culture and the core of our economy is agriculture.  To see today the strength and diversity in the industry reminds me that agriculture is thriving in the Hoosier state and I’m determined to let it continue to thrive.”
