HSUS says Cheesecake Factory joins list

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) says the Cheesecake Factory chain of restaurants has announced it will eliminate pork suppliers that use gestation crates. That brings to 30 the list of national restaurants that have made such announcements.

Through the HSUS website, a statement from the Cheesecake Factory says the chain is working with its suppliers to develop plans to have gestation stalls phased out by 2022.

The Cheesecake Factory reportedly has more than 170 dine-in restaurants in the U.S.
