Unseasonably mild weather ahead for the Heartland, increasingly wet on the Plains, across the West

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of above-normal temperatures across the eastern half of the country, while cooler-than-normal conditions will cover the northern High Plains and the West. 

Meanwhile, below-normal precipitation in much of the East should contrast with wetter-than-normal weather throughout the western and central U.S.
