Temperatures to vary across the Heartland; seasonal rainfall pattern for some

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures.  Cooler-than-normal conditions will be confined to the Great Lakes region and the Pacific Northwest.

Near- or below-normal rainfall will be found across most of the country, while wetter-than-normal weather should be limited to portions of the Pacific Northwest and northern Plains.
