Pattern to remain hyper-active in many areas, temps in a broad range across the Heartland

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of above-normal temperatures across the South, extending as far north as the Ohio Valley.  In contrast, colder-than-normal conditions will cover areas north of a line from the southern Rockies to Lake Michigan, including the northern and central Plains and upper Midwest. 

Meanwhile, below-normal rainfall in southern Texas and peninsular Florida should contrast with wetter-than-normal weather across the remainder of the U.S.
