More drought-easing moisture ahead for the parts of the Plains, Corn Belt

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of hotter-than-normal weather in much of the eastern and western U.S., while near- or below-normal temperatures will cover the nation’s mid-section, including the Mississippi Valley and large sections of the Plains.

Meanwhile, near- or above-normal precipitation can be expected nationwide, with the greatest likelihood of wet weather encompassing the Four Corners region.
