Cold wave conditions to continue across the eastern-half of the Nation

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for below-normal temperatures nearly nationwide, with the greatest likelihood of cold conditions across the eastern half of the U.S.  Any lingering warmth will be limited to southern Florida.

Meanwhile, near- or below-normal temperatures across most of the country should contrast with wetter-than-normal weather in parts of the South and Far West, including northern California, the western Gulf Coast region, and the southern Atlantic region.
