Chillier days ahead for the Heartland; added Drought relief from the Plains, westward

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook for calls for the likelihood of near- or below-normal temperatures and near- or above-normal precipitation across much of the country.  Warmer-than-normal weather will be confined to parts of the southwestern and south-central U.S.

Meanwhile, drier-than-normal conditions should be limited to the Ohio Valley, lower Great Lakes region, and interior Northeast.
