Brownfield Ag Weather Today
Moisture pooled over the Gulf of Mexico will continue to drift northward, especially later in the week as a cold front begins to interact with Tropical Storm Cristobal. Five-day rainfall totals could reach 2 to 4 inches or more from the central Gulf Coast region eastward into Florida. Across the remainder of the country, precipitation will be widespread but generally light. Pockets of heavier showers (locally 1 to 2 inches) may affect the Pacific Northwest, Rockies, Midwest, and Northeast, while mostly dry weather will prevail from southern California to the southern High Plains. Hot weather will continue to expand across much of the nation during the next several days, although clouds and showers will suppress temperatures along and near the Gulf Coast.
