Brownfield Ag Weather Today

A more active weather pattern is ahead during the second half of the week.  Storminess will initially develop late Wednesday in the western Gulf Coast, later spreading across the remainder of the South, as well as much of the East and lower Midwest.  Five-day rainfall totals could reach 1 to 3 inches or more from eastern Texas to the southern Atlantic Coast, excluding Florida’s peninsula.  Rainfall exceeding an inch should also spread as far north as the lower Ohio Valley.  Meanwhile, snow squalls downwind of the Great Lakes will subside by mid-week, followed by a Midwestern and Northeastern warming trend.  In the West, precipitation will spread inland during the mid- to late-week period, with the heaviest rain and high-elevation snow expected in the Pacific Northwest.  In contrast, mostly dry weather will prevail during the next 5 days across the High Plains and the upper Midwest.
