Brownfield Ag Weather Today

During the mid-week period, a disturbance drifting northward near the East Coast will spark locally heavy rain, which could total 1 to 3 inches or more in the southern and middle Atlantic States. Meanwhile, showers and thunderstorms will also remain active across portions of the nation’s mid-section, where 5-day totals could reach at least 1 to 2 inches from the eastern Plains into the Mississippi Valley. Farther west, however, little or no rain will fall during the next 5 days from central and southern California to the High Plains. The Northwest will also remain mostly dry for the next several days, followed by the return of showery weather during the weekend. Western heat will further expand and intensify through Friday, but markedly cooler air will arrive across California and the Northwest during the weekend. Elsewhere, cooler air will gradually overspread the central and eastern U.S., especially late in the week.
