Midwestern showers will continue to shift southeastward into the Ohio Valley before ending on Thursday.  Meanwhile, unsettled weather should persist for at least the next several days across Florida’s peninsula, where 5-day rainfall totals could reach 2 to 6 inches or more.  Farther west, Northwestern precipitation will begin to spread farther inland late in the week.  During the weekend, showers may extend as far south as the Great Basin and the Sierra Nevada, and as far east as the northern High Plains.  Snow will fall at some high-elevation Western sites.  Elsewhere, late-season warmth will continue through the weekend in the central U.S., while dry weather will prevail during the next 5 days across the central and southern Plains.
