Brownfield Ag Weather Today

The tropical depression over the Gulf of Mexico is expected to dissipate over the next day or two while drifting southward.  However, occasional showers may linger for the next several days across Florida’s peninsula.  Farther north, developing drought will remain a concern in much of the Midwest and Northeast, although New England may receive some much-needed rain.  During the weekend and early next week, markedly cooler air will overspread the Midwest and Northeast.  Meanwhile, scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms will continue to erupt across the Rockies and Plains, with 5day rainfall totals reaching 1 to 3 inches or more in some locations from Montana to Texas.   Elsewhere, mostly dry weather will prevail in the Far West, aside from isolated showers early next week in the Sierra Nevada and northern Great Basin.
