Brownfield Ag Weather Today

A cold front moving into the southern and eastern U.S. will clear much of the Atlantic Seaboard by Saturday but will linger across Florida’s peninsula, where rainfall could total 1 to 2 inches or more.  Farther north, snow will gradually end across the upper Great Lakes region.  During the weekend and early next week, a strong high-pressure system will result in sub-32°F temperatures as far south as Alabama and Mississippi, with possible implications for blooming fruits and other freeze-sensitive crops.  Late in the weekend and early week, locally heavy rain and snow will return across the West, especially in California.  In contrast, little or no precipitation will fall during the next 5 days across the nation’s mid-section, including the Plains and Midwest.
