Brownfield Ag Weather Today

A storm system over the lower Great Lakes region will drift eastward and intensify, reaching the Northeast by Friday. Due to the storm’s slow movement, cool, rainy weather will plague most areas from the Mississippi Valley eastward, with 1 to 3 inches of rain possible across a broad area. Along the storm’s trailing cold front, heavy showers and locally severe thunderstorms will be a concern, from the southeastern Plains into the middle and lower Mississippi Valley, and lasting into Thursday (along the southern Atlantic Coast). In contrast, heat will continue to build eastward from the West, with late-week temperatures topping 90º as far north as Nebraska and approaching 100º on the southern High Plains.
