Brownfield Ag Weather Today

For the remainder of the week, precipitation across the country will be widespread but not particularly heavy.  Showers will be focused by a pair of low-pressure systems, with a third storm approaching the Pacific Northwest late in the week.  The initial storm system, relatively weak, will produce early-week showers in the eastern U.S., with some heavy rain briefly occurring across southern Texas.  The second storm will traverse the West during the first half of the week, later reaching the nation’s mid-section.  Five-day precipitation totals will be greatest in the Pacific Northwest, while minimal rain will occur across the Northeast, High Plains, and lower Mississippi Valley.  As the week progresses, cold air will become entrenched across much of the West and the northern High Plains, with high temperatures by Thursday barely topping the freezing mark (32°F) in the latter region.  At the same time, temperatures above 80°F will become prevalent across the South.
