Brownfield Ag Weather Today

A low-pressure system currently centered over the south-central U.S. will slowly cross the lower Mississippi Valley during the weekend and weaken while traversing the East early next week.  Storm-total rainfall could reach 1 to 2 inches from the southern Plains to the southern Appalachians, extending as far north as the lower Ohio Valley.  In contrast, dry weather should prevail during the next 5 days across the northern and central Plains and upper Midwest.  Dry conditions will also dominate the West, except from the Pacific Northwest to the northern Rockies.  Heavy precipitation should fall during the weekend in western Washington.  Early next week, showers may spread as far south as northern and central California.
