Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Sponsored by: The American Soybean Association and United Soybean Board

A low-pressure system crossing the mid-South will drift eastward, reaching the middle Atlantic Coast during the weekend.  Warm, humid conditions will precede the system, while cool, showery weather will prevail along and north of the storm’s track.  Additional rainfall could total 2 to 5 inches in the South, with the highest totals expected along and near the central Gulf Coast.  Totals exceeding an inch will be common across the Midwest.  In contrast, dry weather will prevail during the next 5 days from California to the southern half of the High Plains.  Building heat will accompany the dry weather, with weekend temperatures soaring to 100°F or higher across the southern High Plains.  By early next week, temperatures will rebound to near 90°F across the southern and eastern Corn Belt, while chilly weather will again become entrenched from the Pacific Northwest to the northern Plains.
