Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Over the next 5 days, multiple storm systems will affect northern and central California and the Northwest. Some of the most significant precipitation (locally 10 inches or more) will fall across northern California, helping to establish high-elevation snowpack and resulting in meaningful drought relief. However, Western precipitation could also lead to flash flooding and debris flows, especially in areas where hillsides have been scarred by recent wildfires. Drought-easing precipitation should also fall in the northern Great Basin and from the Pacific Northwest to the western slopes of the northern Rockies. Meanwhile, little or no precipitation will fall during the next 5 days across the High Plains and the Southwest. In the Midwest, a weekend rain event may lead to some brief harvest delays, especially in the central and southern Corn Belt.
