Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Sponsored by Pivot Bio PROVEN

Most of the country will continue to experience dry weather. In fact, no rain will fall during the next 5 days across large sections of the Plains, Midwest, and Southwest. Late in the week, however, there will be some important weather developments. First, Hurricane Delta will approach the U.S. Gulf Coast, with landfall expected somewhere from Louisiana to western Florida on Friday or Saturday. Delta could become the fourth hurricane this year to strike the U.S. Gulf Coast, following Hanna (southern Texas in July), Laura (southwestern Louisiana in August), and Sally (southern Alabama in September). Second, much-needed precipitation should spread inland across the Pacific Coast States by Friday, accompanied by cooler weather. Some precipitation will reach the northern Rockies during the weekend. As cooler air begins to overspread the West, warmth will shift eastward, with record-setting high temperatures possible late in the week across the Plains and upper Midwest.
