Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Sponsored by Pivot Bio PROVEN

A collapse in steering currents in the vicinity of Beta’s remnant circulation should lead to a continuation of heavy rain, as well as urban and flash flooding. Additional rainfall along and near the middle and upper Texas coast could reach 6 to 12 inches, with isolated totals approaching 20 inches. Heavy rain (locally 3 to 5 inches) may occur in Louisiana and eventually spread eastward toward the southern Appalachians. Producers will continue to monitor crops, such as open-boll cotton and unharvested rice, in areas where heavy rain is falling or expected to occur. Many other parts of the country will experience dry weather during the next 5 days, although a late-week cold front—interacting with remnant tropical moisture—may produce widespread showers across the Midwest and East. Occasional showers may also occur from the Pacific Northwest to the northern Rockies. Elsewhere, warm weather will gradually return across the southern and eastern U.S., while cooler air will overspread the Northwest.
