A cool, wet pattern ahead, especially centered on eastern Corn Belt

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of below-normal temperatures throughout the northern U.S. and the Far West, while warmer-than-normal weather will prevail from the Four Corners region to the southern Atlantic Coast.

Meanwhile, near- or above-normal precipitation across much of the country should contrast with drier-than-normal conditions in the Four Corners region and the Northeast.
