A cool, unsettled pattern continues across most of the Heartland

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for near- or above-normal temperatures across the eastern half of the U.S., while colder-than-normal conditions will cover the northern Plains and the West. 

Meanwhile, near- or above-normal precipitation can be expected nationwide, with the greatest likelihood of wet conditions in the mid-South and Southwest.
