Texas Tech student receives wheat scholarship

The 2018 National Wheat Association/ U.S. Wheat Associates Scholarship was awarded to Matthew Winterholler, a senior agricultural communications major at Texas Tech University, during the National Association of Farm Broadcasting Convention.
Winterholler first graduated from Casper College in Casper, Wyoming with three associate degrees in agricultural communications, animal science and agribusiness before transferring to Texas Tech. He is interning with the National Sorghum Producers and the Sorghum Checkoff.
After graduation in August of 2019, Winterholler hopes to secure a career in public relations with an ag-based firm to help bring non-farm citizens and leaders into contact with the agriculture processor’s message.
