Stine Seed is all about creating high yielding genetics. David Thompson, National Sales & Marketing Director tells Brownfield, “We focus on it. It’s what we do. We hope growers understand we are making some really unique products that are setting the stage for great things to come in the future.”
One of the topics of discussion and one thing that gets David Thompson excited is Stine’s high population corn initiative. He told Brownfield the key to getting a consistent 300– 400 bushel yield is putting more plants on an acre. Thompson said high population corn is a systems approach. Seed, fertility, equipment, cultural practices will all play a role in getting high yields consistently across a farm.
