How the pork industry overcame flu ‘hysteria’

The pork industry has received very positive reviews for its response to the hysteria surrounding the misnamed “swine flu” outbreak in 2009.   Cindy Cunningham of the National Pork Board says being prepared for crisis situations and building relationships ahead of time are two reasons why the industry was successful at diffusing the situation in a fairly short time.
