NCBA CEO Colin Woodall responds to criticisms of his organization

NCBA CEO Colin Woodall

At the recent annual meeting of Nebraska Cattlemen in Kearney, we sat down with National Cattlemen’s Beef Association CEO Colin Woodall and discussed some of the criticisms that his organization faces.

Those criticisms include the group’s perceived close ties with beef packers; its involvement in the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef, which includes several environmental groups; long-running accusations that NCBA uses checkoff funds for lobbying purposes; and claims that NCBA does not represent the thinking of the majority of U.S. cattle producers.

  • BARF. What a BS interview… what if you have multiple “fences” — no pun intended. huh huh huh … AND… you ARE funded by the cattle producers, you have one thing right….so bless your heart for looking out for them (pshhhh). It’s hard to stomach this interview after reviewing 2021 current virtual NCBA conference sponsors. So hypocritical. “Apples and wing nuts”. Fire your PR person.
