Illinois farmer struggled to get corn harvested

An Illinois farmer struggled to get the last of his corn out – and almost made it. Christian Dean, who farms in western Illinois’ Adams County, tells Brownfield a strong storm in early October downed a bunch of his corn which suffered from crown root rot, “We assessed it and we decided that we’d be better off going and getting the corn that was standing.
