Tell us about the services your station provides.

KMCD is one of the few stations in the region that still offers local broadcaster delivering local news, weather sports, ag and lifestyle content and community information. Our staff is very active in the community serving on a number of boards and commissions.

Tell us about your community involvement.

We currently have staff who are members of the Jefferson County Fair Board, Jefferson County Service Agency, Elks Officer, Carnegie Museum Foundation Board, Lords Cupboard Food Pantry Board, ARC of Jefferson County Board, Live on the Square Summer Concert Series Board, Dodge Vintage Power Wagon Leadership team, Fairfield First Fridays Board, Fairfield Arts and Convention Board.  

Tell us about any involvement you have, or coverage you provide, to any agriculture related groups.

KMCD works closely with our local Pork and Beef Producers each year to help promote their activities as well as the Fairfield Farmers Market. Coverage of area county fairs and supporting local FFA and 4-H activities. We host monthly discussions with the leaders of ISU Extension and farm Bureau Leaders.

Anything else you would like to tell us?

We take great pride serving the community of Fairfield and Jefferson county as well as surrounding communities such as Keosauqua, Ottumwa, Mt Pleasant with local content that affects their daily life.
