World Dairy Expo begins Sunday

The 55th World Dairy Expo begins Sunday in Madison, Wisconsin, and Communications Manager Katie Schmitt says the schedule is different this year. She says the action technically started Sunday with youth contests and the breed shows start Monday on the colored shavings for the dairy cattle show. Tuesday will mark the start of the trade show and educational programs with everything ending on Friday.

Schmitt says another change is a shortened trade show which will run Tuesday through Friday. “It came down to continued feedback from our exhibitors, especially our trade show exhibitors, that they would like a show that better aligned with their industry standards of two to three days events versus our five that we were requesting of them.”

Something else new to World Dairy Expo is digital admission passes that need to be purchased online. “You can pre-purchase your tickets online. We highly encourage that you do, and that is at worlddairyexpo.com. The daily admission pass is $15 and the season is $40.

Admission is free Monday but passes will be needed the rest of the week.
