Wohlman named Minnesota deputy ag commissioner
Minnesota Department of Agriculture assistant commissioner Matt Wohlman has been named deputy commissioner, replacing the retiring Jim Boerboom.
Wohlman joined the department in 2011 and is credited with leading the development of the historic Minnesota Agricultural Water Quality Certification program, which helps keep farmers profitable while addressing complex water quality challenges across the state.
In addition to his role with the department, Wohlman also operates a fifth-generation family farm in western Minnesota.
