Wisconsin seed companies merge
La Crosse Seed has acquired Deer Creek Seed, Inc.
Windsor, Wisconsin-based Deer Creek Seed was founded by Bill and Bonnie Leakey in 1980, and served customers with forage, turf, cover crop, and food plot seeds from their locations in Ashland and Madison Wisconsin, and Effingham, Illinois.
La Crosse Seed’s parent company DLF USA inc. says the Deer Creek Seed staff will continue to work at their current locations. La Crosse Seed plans to expand product and service offerings for both its shared and new customers.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
